Verify first. Then pay.
Before you settle a vendor or refund a customer, one click tells you whose phone number or bank account it really is. Here is why that matters more than most finance controls.
FinoQ Team

You are about to send KES 480,000 to a supplier. The account number came in on WhatsApp. It was typed by a person, forwarded by another, and pasted by a third.
Do you know whose account that really is?
The wrong-account problem
Businesses that rely on manual checks are one typo away from sending money to the wrong person. Not because anyone is careless, but because a bank account number is thirteen digits with no meaning attached. A phone number looks right whether it belongs to your supplier or to a stranger.
The expensive part is not the mistake. It is finding out after.
What a check looks like
With FinoQ Connect, one lookup runs before the money moves:
- Phone number. The registered name, carrier and line status for a Kenyan number.
- Bank account. Enter the bank and account number and get back the account holder’s name, for Kenyan and Nigerian banks.
- KRA PIN. Whether it is registered and active, and the taxpayer name.
- National ID, passport and company. Look up the person or the registered company.
Each check is priced per lookup, with the price shown up front, and numbers already verified are answered from an encrypted cache at a lower price. Every check leaves an audit trail.
Where it belongs in your process
Put the check at the moment the payee is added, not at the moment they are paid. Add a supplier, verify the account, save the contact. From then on every payout, bulk run or scheduled salary goes to a name you have seen.
For platforms paying out to drivers, agents or merchants, put the same check in the onboarding flow. One API call, and your payouts are gated on a verified name from day one.
This is more than compliance
Compliance is the reason people search for KYC tools. Peace of mind is why they keep using them. When the supplier’s account has a name attached, the argument about who typed what never happens.
Verify first. Then pay.
