Your finance desk now fits in WhatsApp

It is 10:40 on a Tuesday. You are at a supplier’s warehouse in Industrial Area, a customer says they have just paid, and the person who can confirm it is back at the office with the laptop. So you wait, or you take their word for it.

That gap, between money moving and the owner knowing, is where a lot of small-business stress lives. FinoQ on WhatsApp closes it.

Why WhatsApp

Most business owners in Kenya do not open a finance dashboard during the day. They open WhatsApp, dozens of times. Customers are there, suppliers are there, staff are there. Asking people to install one more app, and remember one more password, is asking them to change a habit. We would rather meet them where they already are.

What you get

Real-time alerts. The moment a customer pays into your paybill, till or bank account, or a payout leaves your wallet, you get a message. It says how much, from whom, into which channel, and the reference. Every channel you have connected, in one thread.

Channel insights. Ask for today, this week or this month, and see revenue, outgoing and net across every bank, paybill and till you run. Tap a channel to see how it is doing on its own: its total, how many transactions, and its share of the whole.

Quick actions. From the same chat you can:

  • collect from a verified beneficiary,
  • pay a saved bill to a paybill or till,
  • send money to a phone, a Kenyan bank, abroad, or another account in your organization.

Safe by default

Speed is only useful if it is safe. Every payout on WhatsApp ends the same way as it does on the dashboard: a review screen, then your FinoQ PIN. Nothing leaves your wallet on a tap alone.

When you send to a phone number or a bank account, you can ask FinoQ to check the registered name first. The confirm screen then tells you who the money is actually going to, before you enter your PIN. If the name is not the person you meant, you stop, and nothing is lost.

Who it is for

  • Owners on the move who want to know today’s collections came in without calling anyone.
  • Finance leads who approve payouts between meetings.
  • Branch managers who want to see how their till is doing, not the whole company’s books.

What it is not

It is not a replacement for the dashboard. Bulk payouts, invoices, reports and settings still live there. WhatsApp is the fast lane for the things you check and do every day.
